Close Fight In Tamil Nadu As TVK Moves Ahead

Early election trends in Tamil Nadu are showing a strong start for Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).

As counting continues for the 234 Assembly seats, TVK is leading in around 73 seats while the ruling DMK is close behind with leads in about 55 seats.

There has been a lot of curiosity about how Vijay would perform in his first election. Many wondered if he could become a key player or even a major force in politics.

It is still too early to say the final result but these early numbers show that Vijay has made a very much strong impact. No single party has a clear lead yet but TVK’s performance is already creating a big buzz. A clearer picture is expected by the afternoon as counting goes on.

Vijay has been a top star in Tamil cinema for many years with a huge fan base. Now with this strong political debut he seems to be expanding his influence from films into politics.
